Today, I will list down all the documents required for the visa application. Please take note that this list is for family reunion (for my situation is husband works in Germany) and it may vary for student's family reunion.

Basic documents required for yourself (spouse) :
1) 2 copies of application form (downloaded from here)
2) 2 passport photographs with grey or white background (click here)
3) valid passport
4) 2 copies of valid passport
5) 2 copies of Marriage certificate*
6) 2 copies of husband's valid passport
7) 2 copies of Husband's document : proof of residence / certificate of registration (Anmeldebescheinigung)
8) 2 copies of Husband's document : Proof of employment / offer letter
9) 2 copies of academic Degree/Diploma, if you're not a degree/diploma holder then you have to provide proof of basic German language skills (minimum level A 1)
Items highlighted in green font and marked with * must be legalized and translated into german language. I will elaborate more in my next post.
